Shaina's Hospital rumor "penis captivus"

If there’s only one thing that changed with Shaina Magdayao since a nasty rumor spread about her and boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz like wildfire, it made her a stronger person and more loving and appreciative of her craft.
Shaina gave her first comments on the controversy since rumors broke in early September that she and John Lloyd were rushed to the St. Luke’s Medical Center for a rare case of “penis captivus” during heterosexual intercourse wherein the vagina captures the penis tightly and makes it impossible to break free. As such the rumor described them as being stuck together when they were brought to the Quezon City hospital.


She said the report was utterly false and baseless, and that the source had been watching “Grey’s Anatomy” too much. The US TV show had featured the rare medical occurrence in one of its episodes.
“As a person, it made me stronger,” Shaina told the entertainment press during the launch of ABS-CBN’s “Precious Hearts Romances: Alyna,” wherein she is cast in her first lead role. “Dumating ako sa point na lowest ko. Akala ko wala ng hope. But then the fact nalagpas ko ang mga binato sa akin, dumagdag lalo ang confidence ko. Nakikilala ko ang aking sarili. Nakita ko na kaya kong gawin at lagpasan ang mga problema sa buhay,
In addition, the controversy further reaffirmed her love for acting. “Na-renew ang passion ko sa craft. Dati pag sinabi sa akin na umiyak ako, ganoon iiyak na lang ako sa utos ni direk. Ngayon ramdam na ramdam ko talaga ang hirap na gampanan ang isang character katulad ni Alyna. Gusto kong patunayan that I can be someone.”
